Who made your first cup of coffee in the morning? Nowadays, drinking coffee has become a worldwide topic. Coffee touches everyone's taste buds and injects energy into people. It can be said that coffee has become an indispensable part of the life of coffee lovers all over the world.

With the emergence of local cafes in Brisbane, there are more and more places for people to choose to drink coffee. The increasing pressure of competition in the industry brings fierce competition among cafes. Countless passionate, professional and mission-minded baristas and bakers are constantly changing the coffee atmosphere of the city. Today, we bring you the best of our local baristas: Ryan Goody, the amiable chief barista from The Gresham Cafe. Let's share the story between him and coffee. The cafe is located on the street of the famous local bar. While people enjoy the thrill of alcoholic beverages at night, they also like to wash away yesterday's fatigue by drinking one or two cups of coffee in the morning. If you work in the nearby CBD mall and need a cup of coffee to cheer you up, then The Gresham Cafe is definitely your choice.

Interviewer: what kind of coffee do you like best?

Ryan: my favorite is double Flat White coffee. Every morning I drink from a 7-ounce ceramic cup. I also like to drink double espresso very much, because it can reflect the purest and most original taste of coffee.

Interviewer: which is your favorite coffee shop?

Ryan: if I had to choose, I would choose our own cafe. I will ask my other star barista, Bernadette, to make coffee for me. The coffee she makes is simply fantastic. If I had to choose another cafe, I would choose Merriweather Cafe on the south side. The quality of the coffee there is consistent, the coffee is mixed properly, and the baristas are all first-class. I often go to the Anthology Cafe downtown. Adam Wang, the barista there, is a coffee scientist!

Interviewer: if you had a choice, who would you have a long talk with?

Ryan: if you give me two cups of coffee, I will choose to share it with my girlfriend Rebecca. No one in the world can take her place. She loves coffee as much as I do. I always feel that the time I spend with her is so short. Yes, I would like to chat about life with my lover over a cup of coffee.

Interviewer: what makes your coffee different?

Ryan: I don't think my coffee is better than other people's. We use Broadway blended coffee baked by Toby's Estate. No coffee can match it. Its quality is constant and its taste is consistent. We sometimes make individual coffee, but in most cases we use blended coffee. We will also use Toby's Estate's La Trinidad blend coffee, which is one of the most practical and quality coffee I have ever used. So I think the quality of coffee beans is definitely the key to our success. But in fact, the quality of coffee beans produced by many local roasters in Brisbane is always uneven, and I just happened to find the best one. We always put the quality of coffee first. Of course, coffee beans are not all about a cup of high-quality coffee, and manual operation skills are also very important. So we train our baristas strictly to make sure that the coffee they make every day stays the same.

Interviewer: what is coffee to you?

Ryan: it's my source of income, the career I love, and the source of my happiness. It's the beginning of my day. Coffee is so amazing. I love coffee.

Reporter: how can we ensure that the quality of coffee is always constant?

Ryan: the temperature of the milk is very important. At the same time, you should always pay attention to the windowsill of coffee coming out of the coffee maker. Clean your handle frequently, don't use chemicals, just take out the strainer and wipe it over and over again. If you have never cleaned it, you will definitely be intimidated by how dirty it is. Of course, the skill of production is the most important.
