What's a latte?

Latte is the transliteration of Italian "Latte", which belongs to fancy coffee. Latte is a classic Italian espresso with milk. In the rich and heavy ESPRESSO (which means coffee in Italian), add an equal proportion or even more milk to make a latte. With the warmth of milk for seasoning, the originally sweet and bitter coffee becomes smooth and sweet, sweet and rich. Even people who are not used to drinking coffee can hardly resist the delicacy of lattes.

Lattes have more milk and less coffee, which is extremely simple, as long as you pour nearly boiling milk into the freshly made espresso. In fact, there is no clear rule on how much milk to add and can be mixed according to individual taste. Lattes are suitable for drinking in the morning because of their high milk content. Italians also like to drink lattes to warm their stomach and go with breakfast.

The practice of latte

The most authentic latte is made with 70% milk, 20% foam and 10% coffee. Although latte contains very little coffee in many varieties of coffee, it is still called coffee.

Specific methods:

[materials] Deep-roasted coffee beans (about 7ml coffee powder in a mug), syrup

Italian special coffee machine

1. Warm the cup, soak the cup with hot water to raise the temperature, and then pour out the excess water in the cup.

2. After grinding the deep-roasted coffee beans, pour the coffee powder into the filler and flatten the coffee with a powder press, then buckle the filler to the extraction port of the Italian coffee machine to extract ESPRESSO. During extraction, attention should be paid to keeping the extraction mouth close to the wall of the mark cup as far as possible in order to make the oil production of ESPRESSO more complete.

3. According to personal taste, chocolate syrup and vanilla syrup can be added to the extracted ESPRESSO, with a general dosage of 6-8 ml.

4. Take the right amount of milk and put it under the steam nozzle of the espresso machine to make the milk into a mixture of high temperature milk and milk foam. Try to control the temperature, more than 90 degrees will cause the milk to boil, and all the milk bubbles will be destroyed.

5. Shake the mixture of milk and foam up and down so that the foam is concentrated on the top of the milk as much as possible, so that it is easier to control the ratio of milk to foam, and then scrape off the thicker foam with a spoon.

6. Then shake the mixture of milk and foam in the right proportion so that the foam and milk are completely mixed together.

Finally, pour the milk and foam evenly into the ESPRESSO, pull flowers, and a cup of classic Italian latte is finished.
