World famous Coffee Competition-- World Barista (barista) Competition
The World Barista (barista) Competition is a competition of the world's top professional baristas jointly sponsored by the American Professional Coffee Association and the European Professional Association. it began in 2000 and has about 50 member countries. this international competition, held every year in different host cities, attracts baristas from more than 45 countries around the world, all of whom are champions of their national divisions. Therefore, Brista is also known as the "Olympic" competition of the coffee industry. The first World Barista (barista) Championship was held in Monte Carlo in 2000.
The rule of the competition is that each contestant is required to make 4 cups of espresso, 4 cups of cappuccino and 4 cups of creative coffee based on espresso within 15 minutes. The judges will judge the contestants from the use of coffee equipment, the blending of coffee beans, the skills of making coffee, the taste and appearance of coffee products, and the creativity of creative coffee.
The China International Barista (barista) Competition is the only authorized competition of the World Barista (barista) Competition in China, which began in 2003 and is committed to promoting China's coffee culture and coffee industry. The competition in 2009 will be divided into five major regions: North China, East China, Central China, Southwest China and South China. The top three players from each division will be selected to participate in the finals of the China region to compete for the top three and individual award titles. The Chinese champion will have the opportunity to represent China in the World Barista (barista) competition.
