TwistInArchitecture has transformed a dilapidated space on the East London Mall into a cafe, retaining the original layout of three zones, the coffee, food production area and the customer area.

The space design refers to the commercial and trade history of the region, and its idea is to create a mutually sensitive environment through the use of former materials. The designer removes the back wall and inserts the double folding door to create more space and more light to enter the interior. Steel pipes are used in different arrangements to create a screen in the central coffee area and cover the counter made of plywood. In addition, it is also used as a grid structure on stair handrails and ceilings, and low chandeliers are suspended.

The space is strange, it has three areas that feel completely different, and the designer wants a common clue to put everything together, that is, the lighting network. Lighting is very important for the store, the design wants it to have a sense of rhythm, the elements repeated in the high places will bring good vision and feeling.
