Macchiato

Macchiato is Italian for "branding, smudging." Traditional macchiato is relatively simple to make, adding some milk foam to the espresso, milk (milk foam) is relatively small, usually the ratio of two to three with espresso.

The macchiato is made in a similar way to cappuccino, with two slight differences: first, after adding milk foam, you need to sprinkle some cardamom powder or cinnamon powder on the surface of the milk foam; second, the macchiato covered milk foam needs to be rounded with a coffee spoon, like a flat hat.

Some people like to pour some caramel on the foam of macchiato, and the macchiato made in this way is called "caramel macchiato".

Affogato

Affacchiato is an Italian-style coffee made by adding an appropriate amount of ice cream to an espresso coffee. The ice cream melts gradually when it meets hot coffee, as if it is submerged in coffee. Therefore, Italians also call this coffee "Drowned."
