The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) Roasters Guild's 2012 COTY (Coffees of the Year) competition has concluded. 250 green coffee beans from 26 countries from all major coffee producing regions participated in the competition for the 2011/12 "Best Coffee in the World" award. After blind evaluation by professional judges on the taste characteristics of the participating coffees in six aspects, such as dry aroma, wet aroma, taste, aftertaste and body, the ten coffees that finally won the 2011/12 "Best Boutique Coffee in the World" award are:
