The male animal of the big civet has a pair of developed sac-like aromatic glands near the perineum below the anus. The sacs opened by the male animal are pear-shaped. By the early 1990s, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, southern Anhui, Guizhou and other places are very rare, and the population of civet is endangered in China.
