China Coffee Network
Manning Coffee is produced in Sumatra, Indonesia, Asia, also known as "Sumatran Coffee". The main producing areas are Java, Sulawesi and Sumatra, 90% of which are Robusta species. Among them, the "Mantelin" produced in Sumatra is the most famous. The best of the exquisite traditional Arabica coffee produced in northern Sumatra of Sumatra is sold as Lindong Lintong and Manning Mandheling. To be exact, Lindong Lintong refers to coffee growing in a small area in the southwest of Lake Toba in Lindong District. The small coffee growing area is scattered on a high and wavy clay plateau full of fern covers. Lintong Lindong Coffee is grown without shade, does not use chemicals, and is almost entirely owned by small private owners. Mandheling manning is a broader term that includes Lintong Lindong Coffee and Diari under similar conditions [capital Sidikalang], known as mandheling in the northern growing area of Lake Toba, found all over Lake Toba in northern Sumatra. The finished product has a unique fragrance of herbs and trees.
Gold Mantenin, the Japanese adopted more stringent quality control more than a decade ago. After picking beans manually for four times, they eliminated defective beans and produced gold mantenin with dark green color and equal appearance of beans, creating another wave of market demand. Even Europe and the United States are crazy about it.
The aged Agedmandheling is as sweet as honey. The successful old bean has worn away Manning's inelegant sour taste. The sour ingredients are ripe and converted to sugar, making the coffee more round and sweeter to drink. Manning is like a coffee zombie in the old age of failure, and the taste is hard to taste.
Manning Coffee-Features
Manning coffee has a very strong flavor, fragrant, bitter, mellow, with a little sweetness. Most coffee lovers drink on their own, but it is also an indispensable variety for blending coffee.
As the Mantenin coffee beans themselves do not have sour characteristics, so the general special blending methods are based on Mantenin coffee beans, in the long-term heat preservation or preparation of iced coffee, there is no unpleasant sour taste.
After baking, the beans are very large, brown or dark green, with a special caramel-like aroma and mellow taste. The cultivation of Indonesian coffee began at the end of the 17th century and was transplanted from India by the Dutch East India Company to Jakarta on the island of Java. The variety is Arabica Typica, and soon spread to Sumatra in northwest Java and Sulawesi in the northeast. Tippika was withered by a massive rust outbreak in Java in the 1880s, and the Dutch changed to the disease-resistant Robsta. To this day, Robusta is still the main source of Indonesian coffee, accounting for 90% of Indonesian coffee. it is grown all over Java and Bali. The elegant Arabica is mainly distributed in the high-altitude areas of northern Sumatra, Sulawesi and Java, accounting for only about 10% of Indonesia's coffee production. However, Indonesian coffee, such as Mantenin, Golden Manning, Jinding Mantenin, Tawahu, Gayou Mountain, Axie, Sulawesi, aged Mantenin and Java Old Brown, have made Indonesian coffee famous in the boutique coffee world for decades.
It is customary to call coffee from Sumatra Mantenin, which is neither scientific nor confusing. The coffee produced by the Batak people in Lake Toba or the Lindong Mountains in north-central Sumatra is mostly grown without shade, and is mainly treated by half-sun or sun treatment, with obvious herbal and soil flavor, low acidity and muggy aroma, which is the most important feature of Mantenin coffee, so it is called Mantenin coffee. In the northernmost area of Sumatra, Tawahu or Achelle is planted by another Gaga friend in the traditional shade method, which is mainly washed or semi-washed, with a bright sour flavor and a light fragrance tone. American boutique coffee industry mostly calls this area coffee Axie Coffee, Gayoushan Coffee or Tawahu Coffee.
In short, the general "Mantenin" coffee has the unique fragrance of herbs and trees, and the particle size is relatively irregular; the "Golden Mantenin" coffee of Indonesia's Pwangni Coffee Company or the "Jinding Mantenin" coffee of the Japanese company are mellow and bright. Caramel sweet smell is more intense, fruit acid taste is also bright and elegant, almost no Mantenin herbal flavor, soil flavor and wood flavor. Mantenin coffee is suitable for medium-and low-grade roasting, which can reduce miscellaneous flavor, while gold manning has a wider roasting range.
