Africa-the Origin of Coffee
The first coffee tree was discovered in the Horn of Africa. Local indigenous tribes often grind the fruit of coffee and knead it with animal fat to make many spherical balls. These indigenous tribes treat these coffee balls as precious food for those who are about to go to war.
Sometimes, people don't understand what it is like for coffee creditors to show excitement-they don't know it's caused by the stimulant of coffee. Instead, people think it's religious fanaticism displayed by coffee drinkers. The drink was so mysterious that it became a special drink for priests and doctors. To this day, there are two main stories reflecting the discovery of coffee.
One story tells of a shepherd who noticed that his flock became particularly excited after eating the fruit of a wild coffee tree, and out of curiosity he tasted the coffee fruit. After eating it, he too, because of the coffee beans, began to dance like a rambling goat. The shepherds then told the local monks about this, and whenever it was necessary to perform religious services at night, the monks boiled coffee beans into soup and drank it to keep themselves awake.
There is a story of a Muslim dervish driven into the desert by his enemies. In his delirious state, he heard voices prompting him to eat coffee berries around him. He put the coffee cherries in water and tried to soften them, but he failed because the coffee cherries were too hard. He had no choice but to drink the water that soaked the coffee beans. In the end, the dervish survived by this means. When the dervish came out of the desert, he felt that he could survive, and that the magical energy he acquired was the result of Allah's help. So he kept telling the story to others and introduced the method of preparing drinks to others.
