The Zambian Coffee Growers Association said that if the planned target of producing 900m tons of coffee is achieved this year, at the current price of US $4200 per tonne on the international market, revenue this year is expected to exceed 18 billion kwacha (about US $3.7 million). The head of the association said that the coffee industry has a vast market, and even if the annual production capacity reaches 40,000 metric tons, it can still be absorbed by the international market.
