"do you remember where you had your first boutique coffee?"

Maybe there are many coffee fans in Guangzhou who will say, "Yuyuan!"

The hour hand turned and my thoughts flew back to 2005 with the fragrance of coffee in my memory-- an idyllic cafe poked its head out of the gloomy flowers and grass, and there was a strong aroma of coffee in the house. The Taiwanese boss is enthusiastically discussing beans from different places with local coffee fans.

This is Yuyuan Coffee, an old coffee shop in Guangzhou that gave birth to early boutique coffee lovers. In 2011, it was taken over by Uncle Jeff, who insisted on baking, grinding and cooking the beans. There are dozens of beans in stock, only fresh beans are selected in this season, and now there is a bean manor named "Yuyuan" in Yunnan. Holding all kinds of sharing meetings and teaching on weekdays is an important driving force of Guangzhou boutique coffee culture.

For Jeff, as a social place to meet diversity, coffee culture should be "fun": "I think if it develops slowly, the line between individual product and Italian style will be blurred." Good items can also be processed with a coffee machine, and Italian style can also be made by hand. It is because of the multiple possibilities of coffee that it is fun! "

Jeff, director of Yuyuan Cafe.

Q: what do you think of the development of boutique coffee culture in Guangzhou?

A: the market is not big yet, but there is good interaction among circles. Everyone will try to bake new beans together. But it's important to stick to your own flavor.

Q: what would you focus on when you go to a new coffee shop from the perspective of people in the industry?

A: service experience. This is the most intuitive experience for guests.
