Last Updated: 2025/08/21, Some people like to brew coffee in a convenient and fast American coffee pot, while others are lucky to enjoy the romantic elegance of siphon coffee, while others prefer the simple essence of French pressure, the Italian style of mocha pot, or the flavor of hand-brewed coffee. In any case, the cooking method that is suitable for others is not necessarily the best for you.

First, choose your favorite coffee brewing method.

Don't care what others say, as long as you use it easily, cook it easily, and drink happily, it is the most suitable way for you to make coffee. Some people like to brew coffee in a convenient and fast American coffee pot, some people are lucky to enjoy the romantic elegance of siphon coffee, while others like the simple essence of French pressure, the Italian style of mocha pot, or the flavor of hand-brewed coffee. In any case, the cooking method suitable for others is not necessarily the best for you, choose your own best and favorite coffee brewing method. It is the first prerequisite to enjoy the pleasure of brewing coffee in DIY.

Second, only buy "novel roasted" coffee beans with "baking date marked".

"Coffee beans are fresh food" has become a very popular concept in foreign countries. Novel roasting is the life of a good cup of coffee! The novel roasted coffee beans retain the most fragrant and charming coffee flavor and can easily make a cup of the most mellow coffee; the unnovel coffee bean flavor has long been lost and can only boil a cup of bitter black water that is not mellow enough and may even be out of tune. If you don't buy baked bread that was baked a month ago, from now on, refuse to buy unbaked beans / powdered coffee that have been baked for more than seven days.

Third, brew coffee with "good water"

More than 98% of the ingredients in a cup of coffee are "water". The importance of water is beyond doubt! If you use bad brewed coffee (e. G. unclean, odorous), even using the best beans is for nothing-because bad water can destroy the best coffee. Even a simple "filter kettle" can filter out a lot of bad substances for "tap water", making the brewed coffee more fragrant, strong and mellow. Like brewing coffee and making tea, you should avoid using distilled water. If the tap water at your address is of poor quality, using clean mountain spring water is also an ideal way.

Fourth, put enough coffee

5. Appropriate water temperature

Generally speaking, the most suitable water temperature for brewing coffee is between 88 and 94 degrees Celsius. Avoid using boiling hot water to brew coffee. Boil the water and let it sit for 1-2 minutes before making coffee.

6. Keep coffee equipment clean at all times

Never bring the idea of "raising a pot" of tea to the coffee utensils! Every time you use coffee utensils, you need to clean them immediately and keep them clean and dry in a ventilated place. if you apply the concept of "raising a pot" to coffee utensils, you will get a cup of bad coffee full of strange oil smell.

7. Disappear after brewing coffee within ten minutes

Don't believe that the coffee you brew can be put on the "electric heat preservation plate" of the coffee pot. The longer the coffee is placed, the flavor will gradually fade away, and the taste will fade away secretly. When the coffee is made and finished in ten minutes, it will be a familiar person who knows the way.

The use of coffee beans must be adequate. Using too little coffee powder may lead to bitterness or insipidity, but do not put too much at a time. The standard dosage of coffee is: use "two flat spoons" (about 15g) coffee beans (powder) to make "one cup" (about 180cc) coffee. Please adjust your coffee use according to this ratio.
