Starbucks (Starbucks) has been trying to sell more coffee, no, so that people can drink hot coffee more quickly.

As early as last year, Starbucks joined the online coffee purchase channel for its official App to make it easier for users to buy coffee. Users only need to lie in bed in the morning and use their mobile phone to choose the Starbucks coffee shop they want to go to, then choose the kind of coffee they want to drink, and then take their time to go out. Passing Starbucks on the way to work, the whole process is very pleasant.

However, Starbucks recently found that the problem of long offline queues has not been effectively solved, and online orders have also been "congested". Because online orders are too large, orders in many areas can not be processed in a timely manner. However, they have changed from offline queues to online queues, and the problem of waiting for too long still seems to have not been solved.

Starbucks said in a letter to employees that it will open a new coffee shop in Seattle next week, which is different from other Starbucks stores, Reuters reported. It only accepts online orders and mobile phone payments.

According to Starbucks, the coffee shop will provide mobile payment users with special mobile phone orders and payment locations, although paying by mobile phone is nothing new, but in order to solve coffee problems such as the queue of traffic jams on the third Ring Road in Beijing, Starbucks also hopes to enable some users who are used to paying through mobile phones to spend in specific cafes.

Currently, Starbucks has two cafes at its headquarters in Seattle, serving more than 5000 employees. Starting next week, if employees at Starbucks headquarters book coffee online, all orders will come to the coffee shop, which only accepts mobile payments.

Whether this kind of Starbucks coffee shop, which can only be paid by mobile phone, can improve the time people wait for coffee is not clear, but from the point of view of diverting customers with different payment habits, it may really have some effect, if successful, Starbucks will bring this new idea to more places.

Of course, the traditional cash purchase method will not disappear (temporarily) because of the pyramid scheme in this coffee shop.
