The Vinago Cooperative is part of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, founded in 2005 as one of 22 junior cooperatives. The Woka Cooperative is located in Gedeb, a remote area of Yegashifi in Gedeo district, 75 km from the local coffee distribution centre Dilla. The roads are in poor condition and there are 20 km of dirt roads from the Cooperative to the main paved road. The altitude is very high, around 1800-1900 meters. Since no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in the coffee growing process, the small farmers in Woka have also obtained the Skal organic coffee certification recognized by the European Union. Just as Kocher is famous for being washed, Walka is especially outstanding for being sunburned, but both Walka and Kocher have different treatments for raw beans. In recent years, the solarization method has become increasingly refined, greatly improving the traditional and extensive mode for hundreds of years, paying more attention to the care of ripe cherry harvesting and solarization process, so that the beans retain sweet flesh and slightly full of charm fermented wine flavor, making the flavor that washing method does not have.
