Many countries are located in the hurricane belt, which is most feared by farmers due to the destruction of hurricanes, landslides or occasional droughts. Due to the continuous attack of hurricanes in previous years, there is an extreme shortage of good beans. Although the latest harvest batches in 2010 have been improved, high-quality batches with good cleanliness are still rare. Fortunately, the two major cooperatives in the region jointly held three cup testing competitions and participated in SCAA and SCAE related activities, in addition to greatly increasing visibility. It also helps a lot to improve the quality, but there is still a shortage of high-quality beans, especially clean, rich and changeable batches. In the first round of the competition, 80% of the samples were scored less than 80 points by the judges. Fortunately, the batches with more than 85 points could be found in the semi-finals. The score of the Green Mountain selected by Osher in this batch was as high as 86.5, and because the order was ordered early, the purchase price was very reasonable, and we gave back the special price to the consumers.

Selected Green Mountain, with obvious sweetness, changeable flavor, fine acidity and sweetness, good aroma and long-lasting aftertaste, is highly recommended!

Dominica

Delicious, sweet, full-grained coffee the Dominican Republic (Dominican Republic) is next to Haiti, and both own the island of Hispaniola (Hispaniola). Like its neighbours, the Dominican Republic had a history of revolution and poverty, but now it has democratic elections and the country is relatively stable.

Coffee was grown in the Dominican Republic in the early 18th century and is best produced in the Barahona region of the southwest, but Juncalito and Ocoa also produce a fine coffee, Santo Domingo coffee, which is characterized by freshness and elegance, fullness, excellent acidity and pleasant aroma, so it is worth it. Unlike coffee produced in Haiti, most of the coffee grown in the Dominican Republic has been washed, which is a symbol of high quality.

Brief introduction

New arrivals in May 2011! Dominican Green Mountain Coffee! Chocolate is sweet!

Half a pound 250 yuan, one pound set price 400 yuan limit M, M +, M1 baking degree.

Dominica is an agricultural country with sugar and agricultural products as its main foreign exchange earnings, and now it is also a famous tourist attraction in the Caribbean Sea. Coupled with the establishment of a free trade zone, construction is progressing day by day. What is interesting is that coffee drinking is popular in many countries. About 350000 to 500000 bags of raw beans are produced in the country every year, but more than 75% are sold domestically for their own use.

Many years ago, people used to call coffee from Dominica: Saint. Santo Domingo, the Dominica after independence, was sanctified. Domingo is the capital, but the exported coffee bags are no longer marked Saint in order to show an independent country. Domingo; most manors or cooperatives still use hand-painted patterns to maintain romance and show the country's traditional craftsmanship, this time the Green Mountain Coffee, namely Montana Verde, is located in the valley between Pico Duarte and La Pelona, and the valley is called Constanza Valley, which is one of the six largest producing areas in many countries. The area still retains the primeval forest, and about 20 local farmers work together to jointly sell raw beans from their own coffee plantations in the name of Green Mountain. Here are the latest beautiful hand-painted sacks and raw beans of Green Mountain, as well as a map of the producing area:

Varieties cultivated in Dominica include: Typica, Caturra, Bourbon, Catuai, while 85% of the major boutique bean cultivation estates are still dominated by Typica.

In terms of climate, due to the continuous flowering period caused by rain in some areas almost all the year round, coffee blossoms and bears fruit all the year round, resulting in a less obvious harvest time, so the harvest and treatment period in Dominica must depend on local conditions!

Coffee is mainly grown on terraced slopes of mountains or in valleys. There are six producing areas in the country, but boutique ones are all grown at higher elevations. The main coffee producing areas in Dominica are: Cibao, Bani, Azua, Ocoa, Barahona and Juncalito. The three producing areas with good market reviews are Bani, Ocoa, and Barahona. In particular, Barahona is the distribution area of some famous manors. This batch of Green Mountain cooperative brands and the previous green sandalwood estates are produced by Constanza of Barahona.

In terms of flavor, Bani is more ripe, sweet and mild, close to the flavor of Haitian coffee, while Barahona has a rising aroma and bright acidity, and body still has a good sense of fat, which is similar to Jamaican or Puerto Rico beans. Caribbean coffee is already famous for its warmth, especially Dominika beans, is considered to be the best value, especially compared to Puerto Rico and Jamaica.
