SAMPLE COFFEE ROASTERS interview in Sydney
"We like to try as many different coffee because you never know when you will stumble onto a gem"-Sample coffee's owner, Reuben
We like to try as many kinds of coffee as possible, because you may find the treasure!-Reuben, the boss of Sample coffee
Q) Please introduce the background of opening Sample Coffee.
A) before driving SampleCoffee, I was a baker for Mecca and Singleorigin Roasters. At that time, my goal was to open a small coffee shop and do the baking I wanted.
After opening my own coffee shop, I realized that there are many kinds of coffee in the world. So I want to have many kinds of coffee in the coffee shop. So my name is Sample, "sample".
Q) how does Sample Coffee introduce different boutique coffee to customers?
A) what we attach most importance to is communication with customers. Take the initiative to introduce the difference between boutique coffee and ordinary coffee and ask how it tastes and feels. So at first, most people drank milk coffee, but now more customers will choose black coffee. In order to maintain good communication, as a boss, I attach great importance to the training of coffee knowledge, technology, service and so on.
Q) which boutique coffee do you use now?
A) Kenya, Ethiopia, Colombia, Honduras and Guatemala are now used. The boutique coffee beans that are occasionally used in the sun are completely different from the common taste.
Sometimes we also sell Geisha, but not often. When you do find special coffee beans, sell them on a time-limited basis.
The devices configured by Sample Coffee are linea PB, Mythos one. They chose linea PB for two reasons: cost-effective and water regulation (Volumetric).
Q) how to evaluate the coffee culture in Australia?
A) Australia has a high level of coffee culture. Especially Sydney and Melbourne. Black coffee is consumed more than milk coffee in these two cities. This is the result of the efforts of many baristas and bakers.
In addition to the taste of coffee, Sampl Coffee also attaches importance to communication with customers. Improve the development direction of customers according to their communication. No wonder many customers are willing to come to drink their coffee from far away.
