Plunger pot's so-called filter kettle is often called a tea maker. In fact, it can be used not only to make tea, but also to make coffee, but it is less commonly used, and it is even less used to make coffee in Taiwan. Here are a few key points and steps to use:
Step 1, choose deep-roasted coffee beans, such as deep-fried Mantenin or heavy-flavored mixed coffee.
Step 2, grind the coffee beans into thicker particles, which is about the standard No. 5 scale of the Japanese business bean grinder, in order to match the longer soaking time and less easy to penetrate the metal strain. if you grind it finer, soaking for a long time will be too bitter, and the coffee grounds will easily wear the filter, and the whole cup of coffee will look turbid.
Step 3, the amount of coffee powder in each cup is about 12g, put into the glass cup of the filter pot.
Step 4: cool the hot water to 93 ℃ and pour it into a glass cup. The amount of water needed for each cup of coffee is about 175 kilos.
Step 5, pull up the filter and cover it on the inner glass cup. After 2 minutes, press the filter smoothly and pour the coffee into the previously warm cup to get the coffee we want.
