2016 Costa Rican champion Shumawa Manor-Ladra batch! She comes from the El Chayote reserve in the western valley. Under the fertile volcanic soil of Po á s, convection and moisture in the Pacific Ocean, low temperature difference in the morning and evening and excellent micro-climate, four champion estates have been born in this small area with a radius of 1 kilometer. This small mountain area is really brilliant!

The western valley producing area to which Finca Sumava de Lourdes belongs is one of the seven producing areas in Costa Rica, ranking alongside Tarazhu and the central valley as the three best producing areas.

Located in the fertile valley north of Costa Rica's volcanic complex, near the city of Naranjo, at 1700 meters above sea level, Shumawa Manor is planted with 10 hectares of Villasarchi, 2 hectares of SL28, 1 hectare of geisha and other varieties. The owner of the estate, Francisco Mena, has two estates, Monte Llano Bonito and Monte Lourdes, both of which have been named Finca Sumava de Lourdes in the new manor, and now the manor manager Jose Ordonez, who has a full-time team under it, in addition to clearing the land to grow new species, he also reserves a large area of land as a forest reserve for wildlife to live naturally.

This Shumawa champion bean is a flavor rarely seen this year, including:

Delicious juice, citrus, peach, honey, variety of berries, green apple, apricot, jujube, melted high grade whipped cream

Swiss fruit chocolate, sweet and changeable tropical fruit! The aftertaste is changeable and the aroma is full and lasting!

Manor owner Mena uses a unique sweet honey treatment, he calls it: sweet sugar process! In other words, the juice produced by the coffee berry treatment process is then taken to soak the shell bean in the treatment, because the berry juice contains high sweetness and unique enzymes, the processed shell bean contains more rich taste and complex positive flavor!

In addition to the above unique treatment, the manor's rich volcanic soil and low temperature environment are the main reasons for high quality. the varieties in the competition batches use Ethiopian native species mixed Kaddura (Ethiopia Caturra) and native Kaddura species to enhance the aroma and complexity!

The harvest season is usually from January to April every year, and because the temperature on the manor is only 10-20 degrees C, there are still freshly ripe coffee fruits in April!
