Salvador Paraxaj 2017 -Quotes by Lucia Menasis Hernandez
Farm: El Paraxaj
Farmer: Menezes Brothers and Sisters/ Agrocomercial Santa Felicia SA
Since Mr. Trinidad E. Cruz established the "Paraxaj" farm in 1904, the Menezes brothers and sisters have maintained this long road by maintaining the original values of integrity, quality, loyalty and justice. The brothers and sisters in Menezes are now in their fourth generation, managing and operating their "Santa Felissa" headquarters farm. These values lead them through the constantly updated trends of the market.
Annabella, who is an agronomist, ecologist and Q-grader, has taken steps to bring farming to the next level of the task, which is to establish the concept of precision farming on the farm, by analyzing the work done under the "laws of nature" and the needs of society on a daily basis; as it is the control of each batch processed on the farm. Since 2010 different methods Annabella is working to develop fermentation and drying processes in different flavors, with different varieties fitted to great effect.
At Paraxaj Farm, the Menezes siblings have grown different exotic varieties over the past 10 years. Our 1-day winner plot, from Pacamara Plantation, at 5,120 FasL, planted it in 2011 with Robusta and then drifted with mycorrhizal inoculation; in order to go up and remove nutrients from the deepest layers of soil.
Healthy cherries from this plantation are slowly ripened by 70% in the shade; then cherries at 22 Brixes can have a high proportion of sugar to convert them to acid, some of them lactic acid, by raising African double beds for 35 days, slow dry-on.
Menezes 'siblings believe that sustainable development practices, including profitability, social and environmental issues, must result directly in a special cup of coffee in all sectors of society and then a better life. The Menezes brothers and sisters aren't just coffee producers. They are professional coffee growers.
