Finca Santa Teresa Manor has a unique and rich black volcanic soil, high altitude location, and favorable weather conditions associated with the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean, which allows Santa Teresa to produce high quality and special coffee beans.

Santa Teresa Manor is located at 1400-1800m. Coffee plantations, streams and primeval forests are separated from each other and become the most natural barrier. Squirrels, monkeys and more than 600 species of birds live around the estate. The International Park (La Amistad), adjacent to the coffee farm, is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO and is jointly managed by Panama and Costa Rica.

Santa Teresa Manor makes good use of land resources and practices sustainable management. All waste related to the production process is recycled as fertilizer or used as fuel at the farm's coffee treatment facilities. Water use and recycling operations have been certified by the Panamanian Environmental Agency, and the number of full-time employees has grown from 20 to more than 100, which is one of the highest standards of workers' rights in Central America in Panama. In addition, all employees provide free meals, medical care, accommodation, transportation, public utilities and education. Child labor is not allowed to work on the farm, where a school has been built for the children of employees.

The Beyrard family established FST in 1997. In 2012, Toby Estate, operated by Toby Smith and Andre Wierzbicki in Australia, acquired and became its manor, and 2013 FST was certified by UTZ.
