Last Updated: 2024/11/03, Coffee cannot be grown in any environment, because it is originally a tropical rainforest plant, and in the development of the system, it develops habits that require calm wind, warm, shade or semi-shade and humid environments. Therefore, coffee has strict requirements for planting conditions. We call the strip of area on both sides of the equator, between 25 degrees north and south latitude, suitable for coffee growth, coffee belt.

1. Temperature. The requirements for temperature vary with the cultivated species, small species are more cold-resistant, warm and cool climate, requiring an average annual temperature of 19-21 degrees.

2. Rainfall. Annual rainfall in 1250 mm above, evenly distributed, especially in flowering and young fruit development period, there is a certain amount of rainfall most suitable for coffee growth and development.

3. Light. Coffee is not resistant to strong light, needs appropriate shade, light is too strong, growth is inhibited. If water and fertilizer are insufficient, premature aging and even death will occur. Excessive shade, overgrowth of branches and leaves, scarcity of flowers and fruits, and low yield.

4. Wind. Coffee likes a calm environment.

5. Soil. Coffee root system developed, absorption root distribution shallow, loose requirements, fertile, good drainage loam.
