Jose Hernan is the current owner of Finca La Pradera; however, Jose Hernan was not a farmer who owned a large coffee tree in his early years, he was a fruit picker who moved with the harvest season and place. When he came to Finca La Pradera 25 years ago to work as a fruit picker, he worked hard to become the manager of the manor. After 15 years of work and the support of his family, he bought the manor.

Jose, who became the owner, devoted himself to producing boutique coffee and put what he had learned from his father into the coffee industry. From harvester to owner, Jose attaches importance to every production link, trying to develop new honey-treated methods to improve the flavor and quality of raw coffee beans, and care for the natural ecology, reduce the environmental damage caused by the production process, and achieve the concept of sustainable management. With such careful management, Finca La Pradera has the rainforest certification and won the honor of Colombian boutique coffee several times.
