Last Updated: 2024/09/17, The law stipulates that only beans produced in the Blue Mountains can be called Blue Mountain Coffee. High-quality Blue Mountain Coffee is divided into three grades: No. 1 (more than 17cm 18 items), No. 2 (16 items) and No. 3 (15 items), with 17 items equivalent to 17x64 inches; they all taste the same (all confirmed by the cup test of professionals approved by the Jamaican government), but differ in size.

The law stipulates that only beans produced in the Blue Mountains can be called Blue Mountain Coffee. High-quality Blue Mountain Coffee can be divided into three grades: No. 1 (more than 17cm 18 items), No. 2 (16 items) and No. 3 (15 items), and 17 items are equivalent to the size of 17cm 64 inches.

They all taste the same (all confirmed by professional cup tests approved by the Jamaican government), but differ in size. These three grades of raw beans have to be packed in wooden barrels before they can be exported abroad. There are three specifications: 70 kg / 1 barrel, 30 kg / 1 barrel and 15 kg / 1 barrel.

The bucket will be printed with the name of the farm, the initials of the importer's name, the batch number of each shipment and the name of the port of arrival. For example, the blue mountain coffee bucket entered by ATAKA Mutual Co., Ltd., the head company of Shanghai Jialu Mon Coffee Company, has the initials ATC in the blue mountain coffee bucket logo, while the blue mountain coffee bucket entered by the Shangshima Coffee Company in Japan has the initials UCC.

So when you see the Blue Mountain coffee bucket, you can know that the coffee comes from the farm in the Garland Mountains, who is its importer and what port it goes to.

At the same time, the tooth seller plus exporter will also provide the importer with a certificate of origin of Lu color. (among the raw coffee beans produced outside the Blue Mountains, only alpine coffee beans are packed in wooden buckets.) Tooth sales plus the government stipulates that these raw beans can only be exported abroad in sacks.

This certificate of origin recognized by the Jamaican government is only issued to the importer of the whole barrel unit (70kg / barrel, 30kg / barrel, 15kg / barrel). The barrel records the name of the export manor and the name of the importer, the goods of that year, quantity, grade number, batch number, port of arrival, etc.

Next, those defective beans and beans of different sizes have an unsightly profile but not a bad taste, and even worse are those coffee with a defective taste. The government has a strict rule that this kind of coffee cannot be exported abroad in the form of raw beans. It can only be exported abroad after it is baked locally and must be roasted forcefully, because only strong roasting can protect or eliminate the defective taste. And the benefits of Blue Mountain Coffee can only be perfectly shown when it is lightly roasted, so if you buy big teeth and directly imported strong roasted small packages of Blue Mountain Coffee in domestic shops, that's the lowest grade of Blue Mountain Coffee, but at least it's still true Blue Mountain Coffee.
