Peruvian coffee beans come from the Fair Trade Certified Cooperative CECANOR (Central de Servicios Cafetaleros del Nor Oriente). Cooperatives purchase production equipment and develop planting technology plans through community development funds to improve the quality and quantity of coffee beans year by year, and is now one of the important members of Peru's national coffee organization.

20 per cent of coffee farmers are women, and CECANOR cooperatives value gender equality, and women have the opportunity to participate in public affairs and serve as community leaders. The plan drawn up by the CECANOR cooperative will not only improve the status of women in Peru and reduce the treatment of domestic violence, but local men also recognize the benefits of gender equality, and women's access to a better education will have a positive impact on the family and society as a whole.

Fairtrade gives producers a fair purchase price, as well as an additional community development fund that can invest in education, health care, production tools, etc., which can improve the lives of families and children. When we choose fair trade products, we also bring a better future for producers and choose more just and safe products for ourselves.
