Casa Luis is the most famous cooperative in Panama's Baru Volcano Borquez District. It has been passed down for three generations. It has many estates, farms and resources. It is also well integrated because of the family business. Horizontal and vertical integration make the coffee in this area internationally renowned. In the case of the explosive growth of the coffee industry, Casa Ruiz did not adopt the method of increasing production, but returned to the original more ecological, coexistence with the environment, so that high-quality coffee beans continue to be produced. Casa Ruiz is just that, almost every year winning Panama's best coffee and a major partner trader in fine green beans.
La Berlina was founded by a Colombia soldier, Mr. Segundo Diaz was sent to Panama in the 1900s to resolve the issue of Panama's independence from La Gran Colombia. As a result, Panama became independent peacefully. These Colombian soldiers had two choices: one was to return to their own country with the army, and the other was to stay as Panamanian citizens. He chose to stay because he fell in love with Boquete and, more importantly, with the local girls. When his family settled down, he found a piece of high mountain land and began growing coffee. In 1920, the first coffee seeds were found in the surrounding wild rainforest nearby, and they believe that these coffee seeds may have sprouted into wild coffee trees after local animals "Jujunas"(monkeys) ate coffee pulp. In addition to coffee, they also raised cattle, pigs and corn on the land. In the 1930s, the coffee of Berliner Manor was already famous locally as a farm.
But a few years later, when coffee prices dropped for the first time, his son Don Manuel was forced to sell his father, Mr. Segundo Diaz's life story sells, leave this estate. In 1997, another negative economic environment factor was encountered, Casa Ruiz S.A. Get a good opportunity to buy this manor and become a member of it. Casa Ruiz S.A.
