Last year, Brazil resumed the CoE competition, and the winning manor announced really lived up to expectations! TBS's family, Faz.Kaquend, won the championship! We have teamed up with boutique bean merchants from the United States and Japan to bid for this championship batch, but only one bag, which will be officially sold on the anniversary of next month! But what's on the shelves today is a black rock of the same heavenly king!

Due to the CoE competition, some outstanding estates will not have time to participate in the competition. In 2008, famous estates such as Sentain and Blackstone in Brazil were unable to participate in the CoE competition due to the late maturity of the same competition batch, but the expert international judges will empty the cup to test and purchase directly during the CoE competition.

Morten from Norway and I not only served as the judges of Brazil's 2008 CoE, but also took the time to test these famous estates that did not participate in the competition. unexpectedly, we both took a fancy to the Blackstone at the same time. Hey, hey, of course, we split equally. The following is a photo of me and Morten and the photo I took after the CoE award ceremony to visit Blackstone again and take a picture at the manor. Look at the green cherry fruit planted in the bourbon on the right. There is a lovely insect in front: as we all know, even though there are regional competitions in several states of Brazil, the national CoE competition is the most rigorous and the focus of the world's attention, especially Brazil is the first country of the CoE competition. It is certainly not a taste for this boss to be surpassed by young buddies, so the Brazilian Fine Coffee Association has to hold it again, and it can be expected that this year's Brazilian CoE competition will find quite exciting good coffee! After the FestCafe International Coffee Conference in Brazil in 2007, there was an elite cup test, and the champion of the half-washing group was the Blackstone Manor of Minas, Brazil. This is the first time that BlackRock was introduced to Taiwan. Its delicate flavor makes people can't believe it comes from Brazil. So far, BlackRock has a small number of gluttonous fans in Taiwan, and the second runner-up of the Elite Cup is TBS Manor, which shows that BlackRock's flavor is indeed a giant star.

In the case of Brazil, the most important coffee competition is of course the CoE competition, followed by the Late HarvestCup, with local competitions, such as state competitions, Minas, Bahia, Sao Paulo, etc., and within states, there are regional competitions, such as Cerrado, Sul de Minas, Mogiana, Matas de Minas, etc., but not all coffee competitions are excellent, or the price is commensurate with the quality, which need to be tested cup by cup to determine whether it is worth purchasing or not.

Like Central American countries, some areas of many excellent estates were harvested late and did not have time to submit better samples, such as Sentain and Blackrock, the best small batches of 2008 were not completed until October, but it was too late to join last year's CoE preliminary trial. In November, in fact, the samples have just entered a good situation, and some of them have been added to our review. when we measured these samples, we all thought that this was not the standard of Top 10. When they learn the reason, apart from expressing their regret, they often join the purchasing lineup and become our competitors. If they want to buy, they have to be quick, because they still use blind testing and silent bidding.

Minas Black Rock in Brazil is in Carmo de Minas, a high-altitude producing area, with an average of 1040 to 1280 meters. The surrounding mountain area has quite beautiful topography and more ups and downs. Here are outstanding people. If we calculate the national winning manor of CoE in Brazil over the years, many of the top manors come from this small producing area. The average annual rainfall is between 1350 and 1500 mm. Distinct dry season and rainy season, coupled with an average annual temperature of only 18 ℃, is very suitable for coffee cultivation. The Black Rock Manor is very careful in harvesting and handling, especially a batch of old yellow bourbon is used as a batch for the competition, so the number is very small! The following is the harvest and treatment mode of Black Rock Manor: (1) artificial harvest of ripe yellow bourbon cherries (2) immediately screen coffee cherries in the sink (3) peeled flesh, turn several times a day to evenly expose (4) to detect moisture content until 11.5%. (5) Storage in ancient brick and stone storage, according to the weather and bean conditions to determine the time.

(6) Cup-by-cup test, and the best batch will be sent for evaluation.

Black Rock Manor is indeed a typical award-winning manor! It has all the requirements of the award-winning manor in Brazil over the years.

Like Hope Manor and TBS Manor, BlackRock belongs to the south of Minas. It is located in the high mountains of the town of Jesuania. This batch is the first old bourbon species planted in Blackstone Manor, and it is a small batch specially cultivated for competition:
