Lugmapata Farm, owned by the Enrique Merino family, has been growing coffee for more than 100 years since the current owner's grandfather, but in the second generation, the estate was divided, and only the father of the current landowner Enrique did not sell the land and continued to grow coffee. Enrique Merino is now in its third generation, and its acreage has increased to 222ha in 2018, making it a relatively large coffee plantation in Ecuador. In particular, Lugmapata Manor won the first place in the 2018 Taza Dorada (Golden Cup) Ecuador Gold Cup in 2018.
