FINCA SANTA ROSA-GALO SEMBLANTES

The Semblantes Valdez family visited Santa Rosa Manor and was attracted by its high quality water, lush vegetation, beautiful scenery, green valleys between rivers and mountains, the local climate and the quality of the people in the area, making it an excellent field for growing coffee. In August 2001, after a long search and investigation of land, they decided to buy Santa Rosa Manor.

His father, Galo, devoted himself to raising livestock and Arabian horses in his early years. However, he has always had a coffee dream. When walking on the fine land of Santa Rosa, the existence of wild coffee shrubs made him love the land deeply. From then on, he made up his mind to grow the most suitable and delicious coffee in this land. After Galo's son Galo Andr é s came back from studying abroad, he joined his father's team to fulfill his dream.

While growing coffee to manage the estate, they often go to the producing areas of nearby countries to learn the latest technology and look for new varieties of coffee in order to grow the best coffee in this God-given land.

In 2014, as an experiment, the first 1200 coffee plants were planted on a hillside covered with tropical cedar. They continued to plant another 4000 coffee trees on a coastal boulevard next to R í o Toabunche. By 2017, 17500 coffee trees (10000 Caturra and 7500 Typica) had been planted. At the same time, because coffee plants need shade, the farm is dotted with plantains, cedar, alder and other trees.

After careful cultivation, the farm has now grown boutique coffee of excellent quality.
