Pink bourbon has a multi-layered and rich flavor, and beans have a higher density than other varieties. Although the resistance to leaf rust is only about 45%, with proper care, even higher productivity returns can be obtained compared to other varieties.
Pink bourbon does not require special planting conditions, and can be planted at altitudes between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level, which is not much different from the planting environment of ordinary coffee species.
The difficulty in growing pink bourbon lies in the point of harvest, because the pink bourbon variety factor makes it difficult to see its maturity with the naked eye at the best ripe harvest state. To ensure perfect harvest, the sweetness of the coffee beans needs to be measured with a Brix machine, and the acceptable harvest range is between 23 and 27. Post-harvest processing, such as fermentation and drying processes, does not require special processing with coffee from other tree species.
