Brazilian coffee is characterized by low acidity, rich oil, rich body, suitable for medium roast and Italian roast formula coffee beans. Brazil has been figuratively compared to the coffee world's "giant" and "monarch" because it is the world's largest coffee producer. There are about 3.97 billion coffee trees, and small farmers now grow 75 percent of Brazil's coffee. Brazil has twice or even three times as many coffee producers as Colombia. Brazilian coffee is commonly grown in flat areas. To adapt to local conditions, Brazilian plantation operators have developed improved Arabica coffee trees decades ago that do not require high ground and shade. They can be planted on plains or grasslands and exposed to direct sunlight, unlike traditional shade cultivation methods at higher altitudes.

Because Brazil's altitude is low among Central and South American countries, it also lacks microclimate. Under various conditions, the coffee beans planted are low in acidity but soft enough, nutty, sweet and mellow with chocolate. But some coffee lovers will find the acidity of Brazilian coffee beans too mediocre and not amazing enough. But there is one Brazilian bean that Front Street thinks is excellent. It is yellow bourbon from Queen's Estate in Morgiana.

Front Street Coffee Brazilian Queen Manor Yellow Bourbon

Production area: Morgiana production area

Fazenda Rainha (Queen Farm) is located in the Alta Mogiana region of Sao Paulo, north of the city of Sao Paulo. Carvalho Dias owns 4 estates, which have won prizes every year since the first Brazilian COE competition in 1999, winning more than 12 prizes in 7 years, and even winning the championship, 9th and 11th place in 2004.

Brazil has countless large and small manors, hoping to be shortlisted for many years, but it is difficult to find, the family's four major manors have won many awards year after year, and Queen Manor (Fazenda Rainha) enjoys a brilliant record: runner-up in 2000, third place in 2001, 29th place in 2005, so far, Queen Manor has won three awards. Yellow Bourbon beans are sweet and clean in nature, and sun (or semi-sun) makes them slightly less acidic, but they combine well with sweetness and have tropical fruit aromas. Queen Manor is a member of a local Grama Valley organization of medium-sized farms that export bourbon varieties of fine coffee. The organization has offices in nearby Pocos de Caldas and a state-level cup-testing laboratory complete with a large warehouse. The organization also collaborates with local universities and other institutions to conduct research, including Lavras University, where Dr. Flavio Borem is known to come from the Agricultural Research Center. Yellow Bourbon is a variety of Bourbon grown in Brazil, which is influenced by a recessive gene that gives the fruit a yellow color. Yellow Bourbon coffee beans are sweet and clean in nature, and the use of sun will make it slightly less acidic, but with a good combination of sweet, well-balanced, tropical fruit aroma. And 200 acres of Queen Manor's 280 acres are planted with yellow bourbon seeds.

One of the most important reasons why Brazil uses semi-sun treatment instead of traditional sun treatment is that traditional sun treatment cannot guarantee the quality of coffee beans in large quantities, while Queen Manor uses small-scale fine sun treatment, using African high beds for sun treatment, and there are special staff to turn and check the moisture content during the sun treatment. This improves the quality of coffee beans.

Front Street Coffee Roasting Analysis When Front Street Coffee got this yellow bourbon coffee from Brazilian Queen Manor, it roasted 4 batches before and after, and finally decided to take it out two minutes after explosion. Brazilian Queen at this roasting degree has obvious sweetness, but it is not so boring sweet. There is a faint lemon aroma in the background. This aroma is more prominent in the wet aroma stage, and the latter stage has obvious dark chocolate flavor. The overall feeling is relatively round. It reflects the characteristics of Brazil as a whole, but it is also lively.
