Mantenin is also known as "Sumatran Coffee". Gayo is produced in North Sumatra. Lake Tawa, which is dominated by ateng varieties, can be called Aceh Coffee or Lake Tawa (Tawar lake) Coffee. Lintong and Lake Toba lake in Lindong of South Sumatra can be called Mantenin. Lindong is the producing area of Mantenin, which is produced in the mountains around Lake Lake Toba. The lake is located in the north of Medan, the capital of Sumatra, and belongs to an alpine freshwater lake. The average height is about 900 meters above sea level.

Mantenin usually refers to Tibica or its variants of coffee beans grown in the mountains around Lake Toba.

Manning in Lindong has also begun to be subdivided, and in recent years, some regional names have begun to appear in the market (for example: Sidikalang referred to as SDK Manning). The significance of Lintong has gradually narrowed to become a producing area near Lintongnihuta.

Gold Manning is produced in the Lintong (Lindong) region of northern Sumatra, Sumatra, Indonesia. The harvest operation is limited to picking ripe fruit from a single fruit by hand to ensure the quality of its preliminary selection of beans. Raw beans are naturally aged by prolonging storage time (usually 2-3 years). These changes include weakening acidity, color change and thickening of beans. The storage environment must be cool and ventilated. Because the storage environment is dark and for a long time, aged coffee is always difficult to get rid of complex flavors such as musty taste or commonly known as sacks or leather.

If we take a closer look at the raw beans, we will find that Manning's beans still have more Bauhinia beans, which is caused by shelling the beans when the moisture content is high and the quality of the beans is soft.

The number of [Golden Manning] is 19 +, so it is obviously larger than other Mantenin beans. Because of its high moisture content, raw beans will be dark green; [Tiger Mantenin] raw beans are round, yellowish green and have good evenness; [Lindong Mantenin] raw beans are grayish green, and raw beans are large and small, which are relatively not too uniform. [old Manning] due to the treatment, the color of raw beans is special, it is orange and black, the surface looks crumpled, and the size of raw beans is relatively uniform.

The requirement of the Mantening tiger is that the taste will have the aroma of Chinese traditional Chinese medicine, and it can only be called a tiger if the defect rate of more than 17 eyes is less than 4%.
