The Republic of Indonesia, referred to as "Indonesia", is the fourth most populous country in the world, with hundreds of ethnic groups and more than 200 national languages. The official language is Indonesian.

Indonesia, composed of more than 10,000 islands, is the largest archipelago country in the world, and it is also a country with many volcanoes and earthquakes.

Sumatra

Indonesia's coffee is mainly grown in three major islands: Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi, of which Sumatra is the largest producer of Indonesian coffee. Indonesian coffee is also world-famous, such as old Sumatra and Golden Manning.

1 | Bali Quintamani Coffee (Balinese Kintamani Coffee)

Coffee beans produced in the cool mountains of Jintamani, Bali are very popular. Unlike other varieties of coffee, Jintamani is unique in Arabica coffee because of its mild taste, medium acidity and slightly fruity flavor. The fruit flavor is because these coffees are grown with fruits and vegetables, and the coffee beans absorb the fruit flavor around them. Remember to take it back and share it with your family and friends when you go to Bali!

2 | Toraya Coffee (Toraja Coffee)

Its coffee grows in the northwestern plateau of South Sulaway. its deep fruity aroma and rustic sweetness are very suitable for people who do not like bitter coffee. When you take your first sip, the bitterness of the coffee miraculously disappears, leaving the wonderful taste of coffee in your mouth.

3 | Archjayao coffee (Aceh Gayo Coffee)

Aceh Gayo coffee, which grows in the Cayao Heights in northeastern Sumatra, is also one of the best-selling coffees in the country. Although Arabica and Robusta beans can also be made into Gayo coffee, the most common is Arabica Gayo coffee. Arabica Gayo coffee tastes strong and complex. It has a strong aroma and a mild bitter taste that makes it a gourmet coffee.

4 | Flores Bajawa Coffee (Flores Bajawa Coffee)

Bajawa is the highest town on Flores Island and is naturally the place where coffee is grown. The process of growing Arabica coffee here continues the traditional way of growing coffee for generations. The coffee features strong flavors of flowers, chocolate, dirt and sometimes damp tobacco. The "wet planing and shelling process (Wet-Hulled process)" is used to retain the thicker pulp, which is unique and fragrant only in this town.

5 | Kopi Luwak (Kopi Luwak)

The source of Kopi Luwak is as interesting as its taste. Authentic Kopi Luwak collects the droppings of wild raccoons (common raccoons, coconut raccoons). This kind of cat usually forages for good ripe coffee beans in the coffee plantation at night. However, due to the inability to digest these coffee beans, the coffee beans were completely discharged after passing through the intestines and stomach of raccoons.

Then the coffee beans were collected and washed. The fermentation process of coffee beans in the raccoon cat's stomach takes away the bitterness due to the removal of coffee protein, which makes the Kopi Luwak more silky and rustic. The low acidity of Kopi Luwak can be consumed by people with stomach ulcers and digestive problems.
