Coffee is as important to Europeans as tea is to Asians. We say "after tea," to the French it means "coffee after dinner." Coffee is indispensable for breakfast or lunch. Coffee has long since become a favorite drink around the world. Although not yet very popular in Asia, it has long been fashionable and popular, and beautiful cafes can be found everywhere. But for coffee culture, can say that not many people understand oh. Here about coffee knowledge, perhaps let you taste it the next time, and can taste some more.

the type of coffee

Arabica coffee is native to Ethiopia. Three quarters of the world's Arabica is produced here, and its quality is most sought after. It has a low caffeine content ( 1 to 1,5%) and is mainly grown in South America, Brazil and Colombia. It comes in a variety of varieties: Bourbon Brazilian bourbon,Mokka, Maragogype Cuban marago zipi, Kenya Java, Guatemala coffee.

Robusta coffee was discovered in the Congo (present-day Zaire) of Belgium in the 19th century. It can grow at low altitudes, but Arabica cannot, a property that is also interesting from an economic point of view. Native to Central Africa, it produces much more than Arabica, thus affecting its price. Early maturity and parasite resistance make it a highly acclaimed variety. In general Robusta, its taste is a bit bitter, strong and heavy, with a caffeine content of 1,6 to 2,7%. Its varieties are: Niaouli , Kouillou , Congenis , Indénié

Libérica coffee is made from large berries, but its taste is mediocre. The variety is grown less and less, but it is still popular in the countries where it is grown.

Another less famous variety is Exelsa (or Dewvrei ), which is similar to Robusta and more resistant to dryness than Libérica. Arabica and Robusta are the most widely cultivated.

When buying coffee, pay attention to the varieties it marks, hoping to help you make a better choice!
