Bourbon is a type of Arabica coffee. Pink bourbon coffee beans are bred by crossing red and yellow bourbon. Due to the presence of recessive genes, the expression of this color and its distinctive taste characteristics are easily disrupted by the presence of yellow and red genes in the same pollen grain. Pink bourbon beans require a very special environment to grow. Conditions in the Cymbidium region of Colombia have proved ideal for this change.

In 2015, we started growing pink bourbon coffee on our own plantation in Colombia. Our goal is to further understand production and accumulate experience. During the first production cycle, we have been in close contact with local farmers, especially Don Julio Munoz, who specializes in growing pink bourbon whisky, to improve quality and expand production. At our plantation, we tested different growing methods and learned about the characteristics of pink bourbon.
