The history of Fazenda Nascentes da Grama Cafe began with the establishment of Sao Sebastiao da Grama City. The name of the farm comes from a large number of birds coming to the banks of the Anhumas River to drink clear water.

Around 1870, families from Minas Gerais settled in the city and planted coffee saplings with them. Due to numerous positive factors, these trees adapt well. After the end of slavery in 1888, immigrants, mainly Italian, began to come to provide labor. Among these immigrants are members of the agricultural Mapeli family from northern Italy.

In 1953, the Ma Peli family acquired a farm to grow their own coffee beans and named them Anhumas. It has a pleasant climate, fertile land, volcanoes and clear springs, ranging from 1000 meters to 1350 meters above sea level.

Augusto Mapelli worked hard in the fields with his children. His wife increases the family's income by sewing, while their daughter helps with the housework.

All the rubbish produced by the farm is disposed of properly. The farm uses "Sistema Bieobed Brasil", the final treatment of wastewater contaminated with pesticides; all sewage is treated by septic tanks; and all springs are isolated, always protecting the environment.
