Nivaldo and his two brothers, Elton and Morivan, are the second generation of coffee farming. Their parents began to produce coffee in Pedrigulu, S ã o Paulo, in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1976, they sold the farm and moved to Ribelo Preto so that their children could study and do business there.

After completing their studies and facing difficulties in finding a job, they decided to return to agriculture and found a small property in the Franca area of Sao Paulo. In 1981, the farm suffered a severe frost that destroyed the entire coffee plantation, causing the brothers to abandon the entire structure they had built and prepare to start all over again.

They sold the property and bought a slightly better house called Fazenda Lagoa, in the upper Rajado neighborhood of Pedregulho, where their parents first started farming. Gradually, they began to expand and rent houses, and now there are five farms, 570 hectares, and 450 grow coffee.

The brothers are still passionate about coffee farming, the last drink, the knowledge they have gained, and their success in the Alta Mogiana region. Different varieties of cherries are carefully processed to produce the best coffee.

On Fazenda da Lagoa, cherries are separated by size and density. Naturally processed coffee is laid on the concrete terrace and will only be piled up at night to cover it to prevent it from getting wet. It dries in the sun until it reaches 16% humidity and is done in a dryer.
