In addition to having the natural conditions to produce high-quality coffee:

1. Low latitude: near the equator, about 1 degree north latitude, so there is plenty of light throughout the year.

High altitude: the Andes begins in Chile and Argentina, enters Colombia through Nalinglong province, and is divided into three mountains. Most coffee grows between 1500 and 2100 meters above sea level.

Third, fertile soil: the Galeras volcano of Galacas creates fertile soil for the Nalinglong producing area and provides rich nutrients for the growth of coffee.

Fourth, abundant precipitation: Nalinglong's annual rainfall shows a peak distribution, from October of each year to May of the following year, and the dry season is June, July and August. However, even in the dry season, Nalinglong's coffee agriculture need not worry too much. Because trade winds from the southern continent bring warm currents and meet at cool nights at high elevations, they produce water vapor, which can replenish coffee trees.

The Indis Mountains have formed canyons of different sizes, which provide a very favorable microclimate for the growth of high-quality coffee. Steep mountains and narrow steep slopes bring temperature diversity. The warm and humid air from the canyon gathers in the lowlands during the day and climbs up the hillside at night to protect coffee grown at high altitude from the threat of frost. Therefore, in Nalinglong, even the highlands of 2300 meters can grow coffee smoothly, and the quality of the coffee produced is very high.

Grading system: 1, defective beans 2, altitude 3, mesh size

Colombia's classification is simpler, divided into Supremo (selected) and Excelso (upper) according to bean size. 80% of the raw beans of the selected grade need to use a sieve of more than 17, and 80% of the raw beans of the upper grade need a sieve of 14 and more than 16, and a maximum of 11% of the beans with sieve 16 are allowed to be mixed with 14 sieve beans. The screen mentioned above is for flat beans, round beans (Pea Berry) has its own set of screen size standards. Generally use the screen of 8Murray No. 12 to grade the round beans.

Altitude: 1600-1800m

Variety: Kaddura, Kaduai

Treatment: washing

Flavor: citrus, nuts, blackcurrant, ripe cherry, cocoa.

Gift of knowledge: generally speaking, countries close to the equator do not classify coffee by altitude because they grow coffee at a higher altitude.
