Vides 58 is a family business with six farms in Huehuetenango, Guatemala and a state-of-the-art cup testing laboratory in Guatemala City. Although it is currently managed by Reynaldo Ovalivides and his incredible team, the legend of Vedes 58 began 60 years ago in 1958 and was founded by Nayo's grandfather Jorge Vedes. As a full-time doctor, George Jorge Vides travels frequently, arranging visits to his patients across the country. His passion for health made him director of Huehuetenango National Hospital, which still bears his name to this day. While Huehuetenango was visiting patients, Jorge discovered a beautiful piece of land and decided to buy it and develop a new hobby other than medicine. At that time, the land was covered with forest, and he began to grow bourbon and Keturah coffee varieties. His humanitarian consciousness transcends coffee production. In 1980, he founded a school and still runs it on the farm. The school was later named after him and was officially recognized by the Ministry of Education. Four years later, because of his success in production, Anacafe awarded him the title of "Outstanding Coffee grower".

Jorge's family continues to follow in his footsteps, and as the current manager and promoter of these farms, Nayo has been committed to variety diversification, quality improvement and equipment upgrading. He works with a group of dedicated and active professionals, one of whom is his wife Jaqueline. Jacqueline is a Q student who spends most of her time in their amazing lab in Guatemala City. Vides 58's business model is very professional, focusing on fostering long-term mutually beneficial relationships. The whole team shines with kindness and has a unique ability to relax people around them immediately. Conversations and visits are never rushed, and Nayo invests a lot of time and energy to ensure that visitors make the most of their experience.
