Qianjie-Guoxia Village Coffee introduction

The village of Rosa is located in the Bench Maji region of southern Ethiopia, near the border with Sudan. In the humid forests at high altitudes, the East African Rift Valley enters southern Sudan, the birthplace of Arabica coffee (Arabica Coffee) and the home of many excellent genetic diversity. Here, there is a variety of coffee that has attracted a lot of attention, and that is Rose Summer.

In the Bench Maji area, Adam and Rachel found 471 hectares of land. This is a relatively remote and unvisited high-altitude woodland, farther west than the well-known major coffee-producing areas of Ethiopia. While growing coffee, they retain wild forests and maintain biodiversity-a crucial point for Ethiopian-style coffee cultivation. At the same time, the vast forest also provides plenty of shade for fragile rose summer trees.

In planning the Rose Summer Manor, the entire project team collected seeds from local wild coffee trees in the forest and screened out the closest seeds genetically to the original Rose discovered in 1931. Hence the name "Gesha 1931". This batch of Gesha 1931 grows in the Oma landmark of Rosa Village, reaching 2040 meters above sea level, making it the most fragrant coffee in the whole estate. After picking, the coffee fruit will undergo extremely meticulous sun treatment: use an enhanced version of african beds and cover it with arched plastic at night so that air flows through each grain of coffee for better drying.

Growing in local wild forests and combined with fine processing, "Gesha 1931" has a strong wild flavor-a clear aroma of jasmine, followed by a stone fruit dominated by peaches, accompanied by fresh and round tangerine acid.

Bidding batch

Accounting for only 3.7% of the annual output of Rose Xia Village, the top batch of the carefully selected manor can only be obtained through the global bidding of 2018 Rose Xia Village Coffee Manor. The cup test score of the 2018 bidding batch is 88.15-92.67 points, which is divided into champion selection (Champion's Reserve) and manor selection (Farm Reserve).

Gold label batch

It accounts for only 5% of the annual output of Ruoxia Village. The batches usually selected by competitors from all over the world, bakers with high quality requirements will also be purchased, with complete traceability, outstanding flavor and high complexity of each batch. It is the best grade of the manor second only to competitive bidding.

Red label batch

The batch with complete traceability has the typical flavor of Rosa Village, and the flavor intensity and complexity are slightly weaker than the gold standard batch. It is a single product batch with very high performance-to-price ratio.

Green label batch

A batch from a single plot and a single variety, with a typical flavor of Rosa Village, with a slightly weaker flavor intensity and complexity than the red label batch.

Chaka batch

The combination of Rosesia produced in Ruoxia Village includes three varieties, namely, Gori Gesha, Gesha 1931 and Illubabor.
