Because of its high altitude, wild, native coffee and iron-rich soils, Kocher has long received considerable attention in the Yegashefi region.

Active citrus acid, floral aroma, sweet silky taste, coupled with the typical fruit flavor of Yerga Shefi, making it a rare Yerga Shefi famous coffee.

Yegashefi is one of Ethiopia's most famous producing areas, located in the higher elevation area of Sidamo Province, because of the unique coffee flavor grown in this area, it is independent from Sidamo. Debo, from Kocher, is about 3-4 hours drive from Sidamo, and the entire Debo region is more than 2000 meters above sea level.

This select batch is processed by DeboWashing Station, which collects coffee cherries from approximately 650 local smallholder farmers, most of which are organic. After the coffee fruit is sent to the processing plant by small farmers, it is screened, peeled and pulped, then fermented for 36-48 hours, washed in ditches, spread on African beds and dried in the sun; turning every 2-3 hours for a few days before drying, drying for 12-15 days depending on weather conditions, until the moisture content drops to about 11.5%.
