Qianjie-brief introduction of Coffee producing area in Yunnan

Yunnan Province is the main coffee producing area in China, mainly growing small seed coffee (COFFEA ARABICA). Among them, Katim series varieties have strong disease resistance, high yield and excellent quality, so they are the most widely planted varieties in Yunnan.

The coffee in this producing area has a lot of oil, mellow taste and high aroma, and has the unique flavor of Yunnan coffee beans, which is "rich but not bitter, fragrant but not strong, slightly fruity".

The history of coffee cultivation in Pu'er City can be traced back to 150 years ago. It is said that the earliest coffee in Pu'er was introduced by French missionaries who crossed the sea to Yunnan at that time and was planted sporadically in Lancang, Jiangcheng, Jingdong, Jinggu, Menglian County and other places. As a result, the mysterious and rich border land, began to have a lot of fruit coffee trees. However, it was not until a hundred years later that the local coffee industry really developed. Since 1988, Pu'er coffee has been industrialized and grown on a large scale.

Pu'er coffee belongs to small-grain coffee, which has been rated as a first-class product by the International Coffee Organization (ICO), and its quality is similar to that of Colombian small-grain coffee. Pu'er coffee bean is a kind of Arabica, a famous coffee bean variety in the world. Arabica is known as a "gift from God" in many plantations around the world, and its excellent flavor and aroma make it the only coffee variety that can be drunk directly of all native coffee species.

Arabica coffee can settle down in Pu'er and become famous all over the world, first of all benefiting from the superior ecological environment here. Pu'er is a place passing through the Tropic of Cancer, with low latitudes and middle elevations, belonging to the plateau climate zone dominated by the humid monsoon climate in the southern subtropics. With a forest coverage rate of 67%, Pu'er is a golden area for coffee cultivation in the world.

The essence of coffee is fresh. Generally speaking, the quality of coffee beans is the best within 24 hours to 14 days after roasting, when drinking, both taste and flavor is the best period, and all indicators will gradually decline after 14 days. Therefore, compared with the coffee from foreign producing areas, the advantage of Pu'er coffee is very obvious, avoiding long-distance transportation, can faster and better meet the domestic consumers' pursuit of the original taste, and taste the real 'freshly roasted coffee'. Because Pu'er coffee is strong but not bitter, fragrant but not strong, rich in oil and slightly sour, it has also been generally praised in foreign markets.

Knowledge: iron pickup old variety, good flavor, good taste, obvious aroma, but weak disease resistance
