Qianjie-Ethiopia Yega Snow Fruit Tintin Cooperative G1 Solar introduction
In the coffee world, Ethiopia is not only the birthplace of coffee, but also famous for its high quality coffee. For example, many high-quality coffees are produced in Yegashifi, Sidamo and Guqiu areas.
Guoding Dingding Cooperative
Guodingding Cooperative is located in Gedeo District, south of Gedeb District, Yega Xuefei production area. The Guotintin Cooperative, which belongs to the YCFCU Yega Snow Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union, was originally part of the Waka Cooperative and has become independent since 2012 and has evolved into what is now the Guotingding Cooperative. According to the official website of YCFCU, there are 270 farmers growing coffee on 504 hectares of land in Guodingding Cooperative. The Guotingding Cooperative also has Fair Trade Certification and Organic cultivation Certification.
The coffee grown in the Guoding Cooperative is between 1900 and 2100 meters above sea level. The variety is native (Heirloom), and the harvest time is from December to January of the following year. The Gedeo district, where the Guoding Cooperative is located, has ample rainfall in most summers, with temperatures between 21 °C and 29 °C during the day and between 9.8 °C and 17 °C at night.
The cooperative is now managed by the Roba family, and the current operations managers are Kefyalew, Bekele and Tesfaye, all of whom studied forestry, geography, population, environmental development and management in school, which is a great technical advantage of the cooperative.
The Roba family of the Goudingding Cooperative believes that biodiversity contributes to the sustainable development of the environment, so the Goudingding Cooperative adopts an agroforestry model, growing many cereals and fruit crops in addition to coffee.
