Aceh is located in the northwest tip of the Indonesian archipelago, the climate type is tropical equatorial marine climate, the annual temperature is as hot as summer, the annual average temperature is about 27 °. The rainy season in Indonesia is after October every year, and the rainy season lasts longer because of the fusion of air currents in the Pacific and Asia. Under the influence of the Australian continental airstream, the moisture caused by the airflow is reduced. At this time, the climate in the producing area is extremely dry and hot, which is the local dry season. Due to the distinct climatic characteristics of dry and wet seasons, the mature harvest period of coffee falls in the rainy season, and the harvested coffee beans are treated immediately, followed by exposure and drying in the dry season.

In Jiayo, Bener Meriah Regency is known as the heartland and soul of Sumatran coffee, while the Crown Manning series is produced by local cooperatives and farmers. In the variety of coffee beans, using bourbon and Super Adan, Super Adan even got the highest score of 88.84 in the COE pilot project competition organized by the Coffee Excellence Alliance (ACE).

The coffee of the three crown series is treated with sun and honey. It is worth mentioning that in Mantenin, Indonesia, wet ploughing is a common method. Sun exposure is not common and used in Sumatra, especially on the moist Kayo Highlands, where only a small amount of sunlight shines every day, making exposure much more difficult. The honey treatment method, which retains pectin exposure, is more labor-intensive and expensive than other treatments of coffee, and the sun exposure on the scaffolding takes longer.

In order to overcome this difficulty, after many attempts, cooperatives and farmers have finally found a suitable way of exposure to create a high bed frame and cover it with transparent tissue paper for exposure, so as to speed up drying and better ensure the quality of raw coffee beans in the process.
