Menglian Tianyu Farmers' Professional Cooperative
Menglian Tianyu Farmers' Professional Cooperative is headquartered in Mangmao Village, Fuyan Township, Menglian County, which is located on the border between China and Myanmar-the watershed between Lancang River and Nanka River. The permanent residents here are our WA brothers. The coffee farm is only 8 kilometers away from Myanmar in a straight line. Coffee farm is south of the Tropic of Cancer, closer to the equator than other areas of Pu'er, 1450-1750 meters above sea level. There is plenty of sunshine, pleasant climate and great temperature difference between day and night. In 1989, Nestle agronomists tried to get local farmers to plant coffee trees at an altitude of 700-800 meters, but soon the coffee trees withered and died. From then on, for a long time, people thought that Fuyan Township was not suitable for growing coffee.
But in 2007, farmers of Tianyu Farmers' Professional Cooperative boldly tried to grow value coffee near the tea garden. Unexpectedly, the coffee not only did not die, but also grew well and had excellent quality. And sent to Nestle cup test, the quality is better than other areas of Pu'er, Nestle evaluation is that commercial washed tea is obvious and accompanied by a hint of coffee flowers, fruit acidity is bright, sweet and sour balance, comparable to Colombian high-quality water washing.
The cooperative began to process and produce fine sun-cured coffee in 2015, participated in the Yunnan raw bean competition in 2018, won the first place in all categories for the first time, and won the first prize in the daily competition in 2019. The planting area of the coffee garden is 1800 mu, with an annual output of 200 tons of raw coffee beans.
Pre-fermentation sun treatment: fresh coffee and cherries are sent to the washing station for cleaning, then immediately packed in a bag for 72 hours of anaerobic fermentation in the temperature range of 10-28 degrees Celsius, and then enter the normal sun treatment process.
