Indonesia is a large archipelago country composed of many volcanic islands. It has excellent coffee growing environment and latitude. Each island has different characteristics due to different terrain and climate. Sumatra is Indonesia's most important coffee growing place, the most famous mantning coffee is from here. Sumatra is divided into two regions: Aceh in North Sumatra and Linton in South Central Doba Lake. Aceh's most famous growing area is the Gayo Mountains, which surround Lake Tawa, and is also the most important mantinen producing area, at an altitude of 1100-1300 meters. (The name Mantenin refers to Arabica coffee in northern Sumatra, which is derived from the local Mantenin people.) Indonesian coffee beans are mainly semi-washed, graded according to the proportion of defective beans and the number of hand-picked defective beans. This batch is double-picked (DP) Longberry. Longberry is a natural variant of Typica found in Harrar, Ethiopia, and is named longberry because of its slender shape.
