Popayan Popayan is one of the most romantic cities in Colombia, and the city is called White City (White City), mainly because most of the buildings here are painted white, creating this white beauty.
Cauca province is located in the southwest of Colombia, adjacent to the Andes, which spans many countries, with perennial snow on the top of the Andes, and the Volc á n Galeras in the south, where the climate is mild, the rainfall is abundant, and the soil is fertile. The above environmental conditions are very suitable for coffee cultivation, but this place is sparsely populated, and harvesting coffee here is a very dangerous job. From Cauca province to the south, you can reach the border between Ecuador and Colombia, along the way will pass some well-preserved civilized antiquities, local explorers and climbers often go on adventures.
The coffee plantation in this area is not large, the average size of a farm is only about 3 hectares, and the main harvest month is between April and December. All coffee fruits are carefully picked manually. Although Kaddura Caturra is not a pest-resistant variety, local farmers think that the flavor of Kaddura Caturra is better than other pest-resistant varieties, so they insist on using Kaddura.
