Las Minas Treasure Mine Mountains

Located in eastern Guatemala, Sierra de las Minas, the Las Minas Mountains, is famous in Central America for its rich gold and jade veins. In recent years, local farmers above 1400 meters above sea level have begun to try to grow coffee and other crops, in addition to natural forest ecosystems and wildlife, are rich in gold deposits and jade veins, making the treasure of the Las Minas Mountains famous throughout Central America. In order to protect this mountain forest, the Las Minas Mountains are now planned as a Guatemalan national park. Located on the southern slopes of the Las Minas Mountains, the volcanic island chain in southern Guatemala insulates moisture from the Pacific Ocean, while the mountains to the north block moisture from the Atlantic Ocean, making the microclimate very dry. In the early days, because of its high altitude and latitude, the Las Minas Mountains were located in the cold, which made it impossible to grow coffee. However, with the influence of Greenhouse Effect, high-altitude boutique coffee cultivation is also gradually found in the Las Minas Mountains.

Biya Manor, which attaches importance to the sustainability of nature

Biya Manor Finca La Bella's high-altitude geographical environment, and micro climate, enrich the overall flavor of coffee. The volcanic island chain in southern Guatemala insulates moisture from the Pacific Ocean, while the mountains to the north block moisture from the Atlantic Ocean, making the microclimate very dry. Biya Manor attaches great importance to environmental conservation, not only using solar energy to drive coffee bean drying facilities, but also natural composting to enhance soil fertility. Recycling water uses solar-powered drying facilities, recycled water, earthworm incubators (to enhance soil fertility by natural composting), and strives to improve the quality of life of manor workers: providing medical assistance, education, living environment and related social welfare services. The original text "Bella" of Biya Manor, which means "beauty" in Spanish, depicts the beautiful landscape of this high-altitude manor. From the irrigation of nearby springs, the manor has abundant water sources all the year round. The small estate began to gain a place after several times that the C.O.E of Excellence Cup in Guatemala gained attention. Its flavor has the characteristics of sweet and sour balance and dry taste.
