Los Andes is a very interesting coffee produced by outstanding coffee producers. Ernestoman é ndez is a well-known brand in the coffee industry. He has won many trophies of excellence and we are proud to have a cup of coffee from him. A few years ago, we mixed all the coffee on the farm, but last year, Ernesto separated SL28 from bourbon for us. This means you can taste two very unique flavors in the Los Andes, which grow side by side on the farm. This year, we can also use different processing methods.

This is a washed bourbon with a big taste and a nut cup with a sweet taste of chocolate.

The bourbon of the Los Andes

Los Andes has an interesting story. About 60 to 70 years ago, the former owner of the farm planted SL28 trees on the land he brought home from a hunting trip in Kenya. Usually the trees we buy are about 12-20 years old.

Bourbon varieties are growing next to SL28, and some trees are even older and can be used for 80 years. Bourbon coffee was first produced in Rehost nion before 1789 and later became known as the island of France (. LeBourbon). Later, the French brought it to the African continent and Central America. The taste of bourbon is my favorite in El Salvador, and its ripe sweetness is commensurate with the typical slightly larger taste of the country.

As each coffee farm, these plants are unique. In the Los Andes, everything becomes "wild" to create a wilder forest environment. Plants grow old and grow into the natural forest environment that Ernesto takes care of, and these plants make this environment special.
