What is coffee roasting?
The process of turning green coffee beans into roasted beans used to make coffee is quite simple, but it is also easy to mess up. When roasting coffee, you need to heat it carefully and observe it carefully to make it reach a specific internal temperature or "development" level.

Each coffee has a specific roasting level target, and we use a light reflectometer called an Agtron machine to evaluate the roasting level of each batch of coffee to ensure consistency. Agtron reflects the ultraviolet light from the coffee sample back to the sensor, analyzes the color of ground coffee or whole bean coffee, and then outputs a number that represents the degree of roasting. The lower the number, the darker the roast.
