This time we can visit the farm and learn more about this unique place and why it is so special than ever before.

The farm has been in her husband's family since the 1970s, but in 2003 she took over the farm. As a novice coffee farmer, she went to study and began to worry about how to make traditional farms profitable in an area where monsoon weather is often interrupted. She realized that the fertilizers and pesticides used by most commercial farms would be difficult to obtain and would require a large amount of labour to apply (as difficult in remote areas like this).

At that time she encountered a biodynamic model, which was later applied. She combines organic principles with spiritual principles and makes full use of her remote geographical location. This means using a variety of plants and materials on the farm to make your own compost, foliar sprays and other treatments. It's a good idea to accept the challenge and turn it into an opportunity, which in turn leads to an interesting and unique coffee.

They planted two varieties: Kent and Smuri 795. Both are common in India, but not so common in other countries. Kent is a tin card mutation that is thought to have occurred in India in the early 20th century and was then introduced to Kenya (where SL and Ruiru 11 lost popularity). Smur795 is considered to be Kent with the name Smuri 288 (eye-catching name, right? The hybrid of Liberia (Arabica) / Arabica (Arabica) is very popular in India and Indonesia because of its strong resistance to leaf rust.

This is a big, juicy coffee with the sweetness of a lot of wheat, which reminds me of little almond cakes. There is also a little cherry jam in it, which makes it delicious and interesting.
